TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

 

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to the 

G L E NDAL O UG H TASTE OF DUBLIN TICKET & GIN BUNDLE GIVEAWAY (the 

"Prize Draw"). You will be legally bound by these Terms from the time you submit an entry for the Prize Draw. 

 

The promoter of the Prize Draw is Glendalough Irish Whiskey ("GIW", "we", "us", or "our"), whose registered office is Glendalough Irish Whiskey 9-10 NEWTOWN BEC, NEWTOWNMOUNTKENNEDY, CO WICKLOW, IRELAND A63 A439 (the "Promoter"). Company Number 493451.

Opening and closing dates, eligibility 

 

  1. The Prize Draw will begin at 16.00 hrs on 04.06.2025 and close at 15.00 hrs on 06.06.2025 

(the "Prize Draw Period"). 

 

  1. The Prize Draw is open to individuals who: 

 

  1. are residents of Ireland; 

 

  1. are aged 18 years or over; 

 

 

 

at the time of entry into the Prize Draw and, also at the time the Prize Draw takes place. 

 

  1. The Prize Draw is not open to employees, contractors, representatives, agents, officers or directors of the Promoter, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, marketing agencies, or to any of their immediate family members or persons living in the same household, whether or not related, or anyone else professionally connected with the Prize Draw. 

 

  1. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any participant. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose. 

 

  1. Internet access and INSTAGRAM set to public (to permit direct messages from the Promoter) are required to enter the Prize Draw. 

Entry 

 

  1. To enter the Glendalough Distillery Taste of Dublin 2025 Prize Draw, participants must: Like the official competition post on Instagram, Follow the @GlendaloughDistillery account Comment on the post by tagging (at least) one other Instagram user they would bring to the event 

 

  1. To enter into the Prize Draw, participants must: 

 

  1. log into their INSTAGRAM account; and 

 

  1. Like the specified post 

 

  1. Tag up to 3 friends in the comment section 

 

  1. Each tag counts as one entry, maximum of 3 entries 

 

  1. follow @glendaloughdistillery 

 

  1. Be 18+

  1. Entries must be completed correctly and be received by the Promoter during the Prize Draw Period to be eligible to win a Prize. All entries posted or received outside the Prize Draw Period will not be included in the Prize Draw. 

 

  1. There is a limit of 3 entries per person. Participants may enter the competition a maximum of 3 times. Each entrant may submit up to three (3) entries using the same Instagram account. Multiple entries must be made by the same individual; entries on behalf of another person or joint submissions are not permitted. Any entries exceeding this limit will not be counted.. Entrants are not permitted to create multiple Instagram account for the purpose of the Prize Draw. For the avoidance of doubt only one unique Instagram account will be accepted per person, and a person can use this Instagram account to enter up to three (3) times. Any entrant using multiple Instagram account to enter the promotion will be disqualified and any prize entitlement will be void. An Instagram account can only be used by one person, and it cannot be shared within a household. 

 

  1. Entries generated by script, macro, mechanical or other automated means are prohibited and will cause disqualification. Multiple entries made through agents, third parties, organised groups or any entry duplication method will not be accepted. 

 

  1. Entries which, in the Promoter's opinion may be deemed offensive, discriminatory, inappropriate, defamatory or which are unlawful or in breach of these Terms will not be accepted and will be disqualified. 

  1. The Promoter may, in its sole discretion require any participant to alter or remove any content posted on their own Instagram stories, feed or platform in connection with the Prize Draw. 

 

  1. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it believes not to be participating within the spirit of the promotion or suspects of participating in any unfair or unjust behaviour. The Promoter reserves the right to use its discretion in all respects and to enforce any penalty or sanction it deems appropriate. 

 

  1. Entries that are not submitted in accordance with these Terms and/or that are delayed, damaged, incomplete, altered, illegible or otherwise defective (or which the Promoter cannot identify due to the removal of the participants' story, the suspension or termination of the participant's Instagram account or their posts being filtered out of Instagram  searches) will be disqualified. 

 

  1. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are illegible or lost, delayed, damaged or rendered invalid for any reason beyond its control. 

 

  1. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entries and to request supporting documentation if required 

  1. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding this Prize Draw should be directed to the Promoter and not to Instagram. 

 

  1. This Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Instagram. Instagram is completely released of all liability by each entrant in this Prize Draw. This Prize Draw is subject to Instagram terms of service, which can be found at: https://help.instagram.com/581066165581870 

 

  1. If at any time you wish to withdraw from the Prize Draw your request should be made in writing to the Promoter at Glendalough Irish Whiskey Unit 9-10, NEWTOWNMOUNTKENNEDY, CO WICKLOW, IRELAND A63 A439.  or by email to customersupport@glendaloughdistillery.com. Withdrawal will results in cancellation of entry from prize draw. 

Selection of Winners 

 

  1. A total of 1 winner will be drawn at random from all valid and eligible entries received during the Prize Draw Period (the "Winner"). 

 

  1. The Winner will be selected at 15.00 hrs on 06.06.2025. Click or tap here to enter text. 

 

  1. There is a maximum of 1 Prize per person. 

 

  1. The Winner will be notified via Instagram they provide when entering. Participants who have not won a Prize will not be notified. 

 

  1. Winners must respond to the Instagram notification within 24 hours to claim their prize 

 

  1. This notification will ask the winner and their guest to verify their age, compliance with these Terms, and include instructions on how the Winner can claim the Prize once their details has been verified 

    Age verification is essential as GLENDALOUGH DISTILLERY cannot communicate with anyone under the legal age to purchase alcohol. 

     

    1. In the event a Prize is unclaimed within 24 hours of trying to contact the Winner, the Winner will cease to be eligible for the prize. If the Winner cannot accept the Prize; the Winner is not eligible for the Prize or has not complied with these Terms, the Promoter will award the Prize to a replacement winner selected in the same way as the original Winner. 

     

    Prizes 

     

    1. The Winner(s) will win the following prize:  2x Tickets to Taste of Dublin 2025 (Sunday 

    Evening Session 6pm-10.30pm) 1x 700ml Bottle of Glendalough Wild Botanical Gin 1x Hip Flask 1x Glendalough Jute Bag 

     

    The Winner and their Guest (18+ Only) will be responsible for all ancillary expenses in relation to the Prize which aren’t expressly included in paragraph 23 above. So, the cost of food, drinks, taxis/transfers, accommodation, gratuities and so on will not be included unless they are expressly included in the prize description. The Winner and their Guest must ensure that they have sufficient financial resources to meet any financial commitments which they may incur in connection with the Prize beyond those which are included as part of the Prize. 

     

     

    1. In the event that Taste of Dublin is cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled for any reason beyond the control of the Promoter, the ticket portion of the prize will no longer be valid. No cash alternative, replacement tickets, or other compensation will be offered. However, the Glendalough Distillery Gin Bundle (including all non-ticket elements) will still be awarded to the winner as outlined in the prize description. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any costs, expenses, or other liabilities incurred by the winner as a result of the event’s cancellation or rescheduling. 

     

    1. The Prize will be sent to the winner directly by GLENDALOUGH team. upon receipt of address and proof of age. Winners and their guests must follow any Government guidelines at the time of the Prize, in order to attend, and the winners and/or their guests failure to do so means that the Winner and/or their guest (as applicable) waives the right to the prize and shall not be entitled to an alternative or cash equivalent. 

     

    1. The Promoter is not responsible if Winner and/or their guests are refused entry or are ejected from the event because they have not complied, or are suspected not to have complied, with the relevant conditions. Any issues in relation to entry and any complaints or claims relating to the Winners and their guests' attendance at the event should be dealt with between the Winner/their guest and GLENDALOUGH team , save only where there is an issue with the tickets supplied to the Winner. 

     

    1. Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable. Winners must not seek to sell any Prize or advertise any Prize for sale, including on any digital platform or social media platform (the Promoter reserves the right to forfeit the Prize in the event of the Winner breaching this restriction). 

     

    1. The name and county of the Winners and the Prizes won will (unless a Winner has objected on lawful grounds) be made available on receipt of a self-addressed pre-paid envelope received by the Promoter at Glendalough Irish Whiskey Unit 9-10, NEWTOWNMOUNTKENNEDY, CO WICKLOW, IRELAND A63 A439. 

    Publicity 

     

    1. By entering into the Prize Draw, each entrant agrees that the Promoter may publish, use, edit, alter and duplicate the entry, including without limitation by reposting the entry. 

     

    1. Any Winner may be required to take part in non-paid publicity or advertising relating to the Prize Draw, which may include having their photograph taken for promotional and/or press purposes and being featured in GLENDALOUGH  promotional video content. 

    General 

     

    1. Any decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

     

    1. The Promoter reserves the right at any stage to delay, postpone or cancel the Prize Draw and/or amend or alter these Terms in the event of circumstances outside its reasonable control, which it considers make it necessary for it to do so. 

     

    1. If there is a conflict in these Terms with any other terms whatsoever attached to any other advertising material in respect of this Prize Draw, these conditions will take precedence. 

     

    1. The Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for (a) any entries which are not received due to the use of incorrect or inaccurate entry information, any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions, or for any other reason; (b) any unauthorised access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries at any point in the operation of the Prize Draw; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers used in any aspect of the operation of the Prize Draw; (d) inaccessibility or unavailability of any network or wireless service, the Internet and/or any website; or (e) any injury or damage to any person’s computer(s) or mobile device(s) which may be related to or result from any attempt to participate in the Prize Draw or to download any materials in connection with the Prize Draw. 

     

    1. The Promoter will award the Prize as described in these Terms, but the Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for the Winner's use of the Prize. 

     

    1. Some personal data is required in order to enter the Prize Draw. We will collect, store and process your personal data (i) in order to run and administer the Prize Draw, (ii) for the purposes set out in the Promotor’s Privacy Policy and (iii) for any other purpose set out at the point of collection. 

     

    1. Further personal data will be required from the Winner in order to fulfil the Prize and that data may be (i) shared with our third party suppliers in order to provide various elements of the Prize, 

    (ii) disclose your surname and county to anyone who requests such information in accordance with these terms – if you wish to object to your information being disclosed in this way or you wish to reduce the amount of information being disclosed then please let us know on or after we contact you to let you know you have won. 

     

    1. The Prize Draw and these Terms (including any non-contractual disputes or claims arising out of them) are subject to Irish law. Any disputes must be referred to the Irish courts (save that residents Northern Ireland may additionally bring an action in their home courts). 

     

    RIVACY NOTICE 

     

    This Prize Draw Privacy Notice is provided by Glendalough Irish Whiskey ("GIW", "we", "us", or "our"), whose registered office is Glendalough Irish Whiskey 9-10 NEWTOWN BEC, NEWTOWNMOUNTKENNEDY, CO WICKLOW, IRELAND A63 A439 in our capacity as organiser of the GIW – GLENDALOUGH TASTE OF DUBLIN TICKET & GIN BUNDLE GIVEAWAY ("Prize 

    Draw"). 

    We are a 'controller' for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the Data Protection Act 2018 (collectively the "Data Protection Laws") which means that we are responsible for how we use your personal data. We understand that the security of your personal data is extremely important and we are committed to respecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal data.

    The details of our processing of your personal data for the Prize Draw are as below: 

     

     

    • We collect and process your name and Instagram handle in order to register your entry in our Prize Draw and to be able to contact you if you win. 

    • We collect and process your INSTAGRAM username, the relevant INSTAGRAM comment and the INSTAGRAM username of the guest tagged in your entry in order to register your entry in our Prize Draw and to be able to contact you if you win. 

    • We are permitted to process your personal data on the basis that it is necessary for our performance of the contract you have agreed to enter with us (i.e. the Prize Draw T&Cs). If you do not provide your information to us, we will not be able to register your entry in and participate in our Prize Draw. 

     

    • If you are selected as the winner of the Prize Draw, we will contact you via INSTAGRAM to notify you of this, ask you to confirm acceptance of the prize and verify your eligibility (e.g. confirm that you are 18 years old or over) in line with our Prize Draw T&Cs. 

     

    • We will also require the location of your home address (city or county) because we are obliged to make the winner's name and location (city or county) available to people requesting that information in accordance with the Prize Draw T&Cs and to comply with the requirements under 

      the Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland Code (the “ASAI Code”). As provided in the ASAI Code, the winner can object to us publishing or making available the name or reduce the amount of information published or made available. In order to contact us on this, please email us customersupport@glendaloughdistillery.com. Please note that this does not affect our obligation to provide the relevant information and the winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority Ireland, if required to do so. 

       

       

      • If you are not selected as the winner of the Prize Draw, we will delete your personal data collected for the Prize Draw within the period of one month following the completion of delivery of the prize to the winner (or if there are any relevant complaints or issues relating to the Prize Draw and if later, promptly following the resolution of those complaints or issues). If you are the winner of the Prize Draw and do not opt to subscribe to email communications from us, we will retain your personal data until 6 months after the completion of delivery of the prize and any related publicity activities. After this date your personal data will be deleted unless you have chosen to opt in to email communications – in which case, this will be held as per our privacy policy. 

      • We use external providers that process your personal data for this Prize Draw as part of the services (such as hosting) which they offer to us. We will share winners' email addresses with our agencies/ suppliers/ organiser so that all elements of the Prize can be arranged. We take steps to ensure that our third party partners and service providers process your data in accordance with the Data Protection Laws, only use it in accordance with our contract with them and keep it secure.       • We strive to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures in order to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss or alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access and any other unlawful forms of processing. We aim to ensure that the level of security and the measures adopted to protect your personal data are appropriate for the risks presented by the nature and use of your personal data. We follow recognised industry practices for protecting our IT environment and physical facilities.
